“Nice hotel as far as building interior and room. Excellent free breakfast. Bed was very hard and no a/c. Surrounding area requires caution after dark. Centro Histórico, Templo Mayor, and Latinoamericano building at walking distance and very beautiful. Lots of police presence.”

The hotel is very clean and nice good value for the money. However the neighborhood is incredibly dangerous, I am a 6 foot adventure backpacker who probably doesn't look like an easy target and I was assulted in the middle of the street in daylight about two blocks from the hotel while looking for breakfast.... I was able to get away without violence or robbery but I fear what would have happened if I was a bit smaller, older or a single female traveler. I have traveled to many dangerous parts of the world but have never experienced anything like this before.... Be very very careful on the street and consider yourself warned!!

It looked decent online. I literally arrived there at 7 PM and left at 4 am for the airport. Supposedly it was in a sketchy part of town, I cannot attest to that. The room was very nice as pictured. When i left at 4 am, music across the street was booming, I played it safe and waited inside for my taxi. Overall good experience.

Too bad this hotel can't be airlifted to another neighborhood

If not for the neighborhood, this remodeled hotel would be great. Rooms are large, as are bathrooms, recessed lighting, flat screen TV's. The problems: first, the restaurant across the street...

It's not a top hotel but it's not bad either. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is good. Prices are low and it's not far from downtown where most tourists go (twenty minutes to ancient maya site...

I've never written a bad review of a hotel but I really have to for this one. For your own safety (especially if you are a solo woman) never stay here, the area is really dangerous, it's practically...
